Michael. Camilla. Husband. Wife.
Father. Mother. Followers of Christ.

A simple family, with a simple faith, in a sufficient Savior.

As husband and wife, we long to see the Lord Jesus Christ glorified, in souls saved and lives transformed by the biblical gospel — by faith alone, in Christ alone, as revealed in his Word alone, for the glory of the Triune God alone.

Michael.

Servant of Christ. Husband. Father

Michael is the family’s loving leader, shepherd, provider, and lover of coffee, good books, and the local church.

From the soil of Virginia to the Danish sea, a one-way ticket started it all in 2012. The voyage began under a soft blue sky and a calm sea.

It all began on July 28th, when I took a wife among the people, compelled to answer God’s call to ministry in His timing, according to His leading.

Having grown up a stone’s throw from the Atlantic Ocean, I like to say that I have a “saltwater heart.” Thankfully, a move from Virginia Beach to the bright fields of Scandinavia hasn’t kept me too far from the waterfront!

The past 12 years have been a veritable fairy tale. I often have moments, when I look back on God’s grace, and say a quiet prayer of thanks. I am a sinner, undeserving of such great mercies!

I married the woman of my dreams, pursued theological education, and have immersed myself in the Danish language through my job in Aarhus, while our family has grown by no less than seven children! What a glory.

Along the way, I have delighted to serve in a lay-capacity in a number of faithful churches, over time training for ministry by preaching and leading.

My first and greatest joy has and will always be my first flock: my family.

Nourishing, serving, and enjoying my bride Camilla, while leading our many children in daily family worship is my great privilege and delight.

Camilla.

Follower of Christ. Wife. Mother.

Camilla is the family’s homemaker, caretaker, educator, and a force to be reckoned with in the kitchen.

The heart of our family • cornerstone of our home

One Woman.

Three callings.

Christian.

After starting an education in Danish sign language, God revealed that He had other plans for this Danish girl from Sjælland. To be a homemaker.

Wife to Michael.

In 2011, I met a young, long-haired American boy (Michael), who would go on to become my husband and the father to our seven children!

Christ has been so gracious to me, as I have sought to follow Him as a wife and mother.

I love making memories with my husband and kids; in the forest, on walks, or micro-adventures to fantastic and far away places!

Mother to seven.

My journey in home-making has taken me to the educational tradition of British educator Charlotte Mason, whose approach to teaching the “whole person” has inspired me.

I have a long way to go, but I trust that with God’s Word as my guide, the sacred endeavor of biblical womanhood, is not in vain.

At a glance

Our family life has has been a winding road, but here are a few significant milestones:

We leave family, friends, and church in Copenhagen, for an unknown future, trusting the Lord to guide us, as I begin new work in Aarhus.

Our seventh is born.

Seasons shift, as we welcome a new chapter of family life along with a new member, our Wesley Thomas, with a congenital heart defect and Down Syndrome.
